Our refund and returns policy last 30 days. If 30 days have passed since your purchase, we can’t offer you a full refund or exchange.
Shipping Policy/Refund
Overview
To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.
Several types of goods are exempt from being returned. Perishable goods such as food, flowers, newspapers, or magazines cannot be returned. We also do not accept products that are intimate or sanitary goods, hazardous materials, or flammable liquids or gases.
Additional non-returnable items:
- Gift cards
- Downloadable software products
- Some health and personal care items
To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.
Please do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer.
There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted:
- Book with obvious signs of use
- CD, DVD, VHS tape, software, video game, cassette tape, or vinyl record that has been opened.
- Any item not in its original condition is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error.
- Any item that is returned more than 30 days after delivery
Refunds
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days.
Late or missing refunds
If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.
Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.
Next, contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

Sale items
Only regular-priced items may be refunded. Sale items cannot be refunded.
Shipping Timeframes
We dispatch all of our Australian deliveries on the same business day, provided your order is placed prior to 2:00pm. Shipping is sent via AUSPOST or Courier Service, and is subject to their delivery timeframes. Below are the estimated timeframes for our deliveries:
- Metropolitan and major regional centres: 1-10 working days (Mon-Fri)
- Other regional areas: between 5-15 working days (Mon-Fri)
Alternatively, you can pick up your order directly from our store, in which case it will be available the next/same business day after you place your order. If the item you wish to order doesn’t happen to be in stock, we will order it for you and advise of its arrival in store by telephone or email.
Warranty & Returns
We take great pride in the quality and condition of the products we provide. This includes that the item received is as described, free from damage, and fit for its intended purpose. In order to ensure we can process any claims for defective or damaged products, please ensure that you comply with our Warranty and Returns policy below:
Upon receiving your order:
Upon receiving your order, please inspect your order for damage that may have occurred in transit. Please notify us by phone, email or by using the “Contact Us” form on our website if your item is damaged when received.
Due to the claims policies of our carriers, any claims we make against them need to be made in a timely manner, and as such we require you to notify us of any damage within 7 days of receipt of your products. We highly recommend that you take photographs of any such damage at the time of inspection.
Warranty on Lamps/Bulbs: Lamps & Bulbs are warranted for 1 month from the date of purchase only.
Warranty on rest of the products: 1 Year, unless otherwise specified by us or the manufacturer.
Defective products:
If an item fails to work properly within the first 14 days of receipt or within warranty period, please email/call us, and we will direct you as to any possible solutions, or whether to return the item to us. We will provide a full or partial refund of the shipping costs for any returned defective items, depending on the circumstances.
Please note when returning any item that it must be packaged securely (preferably in its original packaging) to avoid damage. We cannot take responsibility for items damaged in transit, or modified in any way, as it prevents us from verifying whether or not the item was working in the first instance.
Once the item is received by us, we will then determine if it can be repaired or needs to be replaced.
Exchanges:
If you wish to exchange an item for another item, it must be returned to us in new, unused condition within 14 days of receipt of the item – all shipping costs and associated fees are your responsibility.
Once we receive the item we will inspect it and, if the product is found to be damaged or to have been used, then unfortunately we will be unable to exchange the item. We will then arrange for the item to be returned to you promptly, but you will be responsible for the cost of shipping in this instance.
If the item is in new, unused condition, the exchanged item will be shipped out to you, and any associated shipping costs or other fees will be your responsibility.
New product returns:
New product returns will only be accepted within 14 days of receipt. To return an item as new, please call or email us. Items must be returned in new, unused condition in their original packaging, and all shipping costs or other associated fees are your responsibility.
Once the item is received and inspected, we will issue you a refund, less a re-stocking equivalent to 15% of the product’s purchase price. If the product is found to be damaged, or to have been used, then we will not provide a refund.
Australian Consumer Law
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
Exchanges
We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email at thegreenroomhydroponics@gmail.com and send your item to: Factory 2/6 Davids Close Somersby NSW 2250.
Gifts
If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be mailed to you.
If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver and they will find out about your return.

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.
Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you may vary.
If you are returning more expensive items, you may consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
